 It seems that people here on Dreamwidth choose their journals to be Friends Only more often than on Lj. I understand their point, but this really makes it hard for me: I'd prefer to read at least some posts by that person before I subscribe. I mean, common interests in the profile are good, but they don't give a really clear idea of what the journal is like. And I wouldn't like to have to unsubscribe a short time later.

Well, isn't DW a different stiry from LJ? I mean, people not from Russia don't need to worry about writing something "not suitable" here, right? Or do you mean some other developments?

I was thinking of more general things that have happened with the Russia being the latest, everything from censorship to spambots. But yes DW is committed to anticensorship in a way LJ never was and we don't have the same concerns here :)
