pilvi For about a year since moving to Finland, I could not understand why people were complaining so much about mosquitoes: the nets on my windows made sure I never got any in my room, or kitchen. But now that I've discovered berry-picking, I have to go outside and under trees (can't call this a wood, really, because it's quite small).
So, that's where they'd all been hiding from me!
Better buy myself some mosquito repellent. So far I've been managing to fight the attacking forces off, but every time one or two are getting through. Besides, when I'm waving my hands around my face, I risk damaging my glasses, which would be very bad.
But mosquitos are big here! - but, luckily, so are often berries :)
