1. What was the first fandom you got involved in?
I suppose, it was The X files - although, as it was my pre-Internet time, "involvement in the fandom" could only mean discussing the series with a friend, maximum a couple of friends. But that can count, too, right?
(reminds me of a small concert I once went to, the topic of which was fandoms; however, most of the performers there did not seem to have many fandom-related songs, so they sang whatever they liked, with a foreword along the lines of: "Well, I guess we can say that collecting things / walking / cooking etc is a fandom, too!")

2. What is your latest fandom?
Versailles (the tv series). Latest = current, right?

3. What is the best fandom you’ve ever been involved in?
Hmm... A difficult question. There were good things everywhere. ASOIAF and Gleams of Aeterna, I guess, because of the many in-depth analysis posts other fans made, a real pleasure to read and sometimes comment. Also, the fandom-inspired music and other forms of creativity other than fanfiction, really thriving in these two fandoms. On the other hand, the Versailles fadom seems to have a very friendly atmosphere - at least what I have seen of it so far.

4. Do you regret getting involved in any fandoms?
No.
No.
5. Which fandoms have you written fanfiction for?
Only LOTR, very long ago and very briefly. I think finding out fanfiction can be considered illegal really made an impression. Although I still do invent stories about my favourite characters - in my mind.

6. How did you get involved in your latest fandom?
Decided to watch the series, since it was "historical", even though I was sceptical. It was around the new year, and my traditional way of spending half the New Year night is to search the Internet for current-fandom-related stuff, something I do not allow myself much at other times. So, I had some time to do research. Although, surprisingly, most communities I found only afterwards.

7. What are the best things about your current fandom?
everything to do with Fabien Marchal :) - well, ok, almost everything.

We lost touch with those friends, and it is sad. On the other hand, I do suspect reconnecting now will not be easy: we've had too different interests for too long, and now very different lives.

15/3/18 09:02 (UTC)It got me thinking that actually X-Files was my first fandom as well. Even though it was just me discussing it with my classmate :) But we could do it for hours, and we exchanged Xfiles books and merchandise and made up our own episodes, etc.
